Nestle, a massive global corporation, has been draining water from streams, ponds, lakes and aquifers from a rural Michigan wildlife preserve since early this decade. They have drained so much water, up to 400 gallons a minute at times, that the area wildlife has been affected, even some rivers, streams and lakes have dried up because of their operations.

The bottled water industry requires approximately 38,000 18-wheelers to transport water to be bottled by major companies every week. We throw away about 38 billion water bottles a year into landfills, almost a billion dollars worth of plastic. We spend nearly 16 billion dollars a year on bottled water, and one quarter of bottled water is repackaged tap water, according to a report on MSN and a film recently released on DVD.
